          With the Ti-N Gold version of their X12 chain line, KMC retains the performance technologies and low weight of the X12 Silver. The main difference between the two chains is the coating; this chain forgoes the nickel plated coating of the silver version for a more advanced gold titanium nitride coating. Titanium nitride is an extremely hard ceramic material that is applied as a thin coating that both hardens and protects the sliding surfaces of the chain. While this bumps the pricing up from the X12 silver, the extra cost is justified as the advanced coating process further improves both performance and durability.

           The KMC X12 Ti-N Gold is gold in color, includes a missinglink connector, and is compatible with SRAM and Campagnolo 12-speed drivetrains.
